A 55-year-old man in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, was allegedly killed by his son with a brick after a dispute arose while they were drinking alcohol together.
CCTV footage collected from cameras near a temple allegedly showed the accused first assaulting the victim with a stick before mowing him down with a vehicle, police said.

Two people have been detained and are being questioned by Meerut police in connection with the alleged kidnapping and extortion of comedian Sunil Pal. Pal's wife visited the Lal Kurti police station in Meerut with three lawyers to inquire about the matter. Last week, Pal claimed that he was abducted while on his way to Uttarakhand for a show.
